Welcome to newest members John Flanders and David Bryant (Wichita). We're glad to have you on board! The Club is currently at 130 active members, plus nine members needing to renew from 12/31/09 expirations.

24-Hour SWIM-A-THON
2nd Annual 24 Hr Swim-A-Thon For the NW YMCA Strong Kids Campaign
Men vs. Women Continuous 24 Hour Relay
Saturday, Feb. 13th starting at 6PM and ending on Sunday, Feb. 14th at 6PM
Raffle entry and t-shirt for all swimmers with a minimum of $30 in pledges
Trophy (bragging rights) for winning team
A special finisher t-shirt for individual’s swimming 10,000 yards in one shot
The person who swims the most yardage will win a prize
3 Dedicated Lanes: Men, Women, Overflow
Men’s Captain: Jed Ecord / Women’s Captain: Chrissy Usher
$30 Minimum Pledge Required
Sign up for time slots at the NW Y or via e-mail as indicated in the schedule link below by Thursday, February 11th. Sign up sheet is located on Jay’s office window or contact one of the team captains. Pledge forms are available at the NW Y or can be printed from the link below.
Scoring will based on yards swam. Any half-hour time slot not swam will have a 1000 yard penalty. All yardages for team scoring will be doubled during the 11PM to 4AM time slots. Also during this time all 8 lanes can be used. Only adults will be allowed to swim 11PM to 4AM.
Pledge forms and money will be turned in when you swim. There will be a place to put your money and yardage form by the guard stand. All checks should be made out to the YMCA.

The organized 2009 Track workout season is over. Wednesday evening runs will continue at First Gear and begin at approximately 6:10 pm. It's a lot more fun to run in the dark and winter cold with a group. Come join us. There are 5, 7 and 9 mile loops and usually several differently paced groups. |
